My Snaggle Tooth Boy...

I have one happy little boy! He has lost 3 teeth :) He actually has only lost 2 but turned out to be 3 teeth and he is sooo happy! His adult tooth is already coming in on the bottom so he's excited to see those! He loved having the tooth fairy come. She brought him $4.00 for the first tooth and $8.00 for the 2nd one since it was really 2 teeth fused together! I can't wait for him to lose another one... I love seeing him happy face!

He's growing up too fast... anyone know a way that I can slow him down? :) LOVE YOU BUDDY!

SHE'S ALMOST POTTY TRAINED!!!

Caydence is almost potty trained!!! I am such a proud Mommy! She wears underwear all day now except for nap time and nite nite time... so that's GREAT! I don't expect her to sleep without her diaper for a while seeing how she just turned 2! I just think it's amazing that she understands at such a young age. I have taken her out in public 2x now with undies on and she has done PERFECT! I have a piddle pad in her car seat so that she does not wet the seat! I am so proud of her and she is so proud of her!!!! It couldn't be better!!! :D

Family Update...

Can you believe it's almost summer? Time goes by wayyyy to fast for me to keep up! Some days I don't even know the days of the week or the date! Everything is going well for our family... we are busy busy as always!

Erik is doing well... he's working his butt off at Staples as always. They are still making them work 10 hour shifts 5 days a week and they get no compensation for that extra 10 hours a week they put in. I hate staples and I hate whoever bosses and makes them work 50 hour weeks. They must not know what it's like to work those hours and still try to fit in seeing their families. The only benefit for us is Erik has been there over 10 years and he gets paid well. YIPPEE!!! He's good at everything he does so he would have no problem getting into another profession once the recession lets up and more jobs are available. Poor Erik... I hope he knows how much the 3 of us appreciate him and all he does for us! He's amazing!

Dylan is doing well in kindergarten. Soon to be a first grader! :D How time flies. On June 15th he has what is called "move up day" and he gets to go meet his first grade teacher and all the kids in his class. The afternoon kindergarten classes actually attend in the morning so he will meet the kids in those classes as well. He's reading, he's doing math, he's writing in sentences and spelling words. He's a smart boy and I am very proud of him. Tae kwon do is still going well. He still loves it and excels at it. Although when they do sparring he's a little nervous about it b/c some of the boys hit for blood and some go easy... Dylan barely hits. I love watching him though. He's soo cute! There's a video that my MIL did at his last testing of him sparring that is hilarious! So if interested you can go there to watch it. :) He's doing great in baseball now as well. He's hitting the ball everytime without using a tee and getting on base. However in the outfield he's still drawing his name in the dirt and doesn't even realize a game is going on. It cracks me up! He's ready for summer... he's ready to do some swimming at Carmine's like we do every year... he loves going to his house. June 27th he's having his annual summer bash so Dylan will get a full day of swimming and playing at Carmine's. The only tough thing Dylan is going through is his tantrum stage. Everytime you tell him "no" he stomps his feet and starts screaming... I've just about heard enough of that, so he either gets sent to his room or loses his DS depending on how bad the tantrum was. LOL... all kids go through it!

Caydence is just Caydence. Still goes through her mean stages where she hits or pushes and then goes through sweet stages where she tells you she loves you and blows you kisses just randomly. She's a busy bee... I can't keep my eyes on her and keep her in one place. The one thing that is just about to drive me crazy though... her tantrums! She screams soooo hard and sooooo long that she ends up throwing up and it drives me insane. I don't know how to make it better for her nor do I know how to stop her. When she's throwing a tantrum or is mad at you she will hit in the face. Today at Dylan's school I had to force her off the playground so that we could leave and she didn't like it... I had to carry her out and she was slapping me in the face in the back of the head... part of me wants to hit back and part of me just wants to hold her down. She's out of control when she's like that. Dylan was NEVER like that, so it's definately a challenge to deal with. We have actually thought of maybe one more down the road, but if it doesn't get any easier with her...there will be NO MORE! It's embarassing and some people say, "I would never let my kid act like that" or "I will drag them out of a store if they are doing that" or "I would beat their a*s"... well just for all you who say that & don't have kids... don't knock that parents who don't do that until you are in their shoes. At times it is that easy, but at other times it's not that easy... have one like mine and you will see why.. LOL. Oh well, I am sure she will snap out of it one day! :) Other than that she's great... :) She does do something that makes Erik and I laugh so hard though! She's heard Dylan say "never" when playing so we will ask Caydence to pick up her toys or tell her it's nite nite time and she will look at us soooo serious and say "neva." It kills us... how old are you again? Why are you saying that to your MOM & DAD??? Soo funny, yet can be so irritating too! I love her though!

Well that's about all on the Allberg update here. We are getting ready for our trip to NC July 27th...I can't wait to see my family. Seems like it's been forever! Soon enough it will get here... take care everybody... Until next time.....

How much can one person LOVE?

Today is Mother's day and I have had one fantastic day. Yet, I wasn't able to spend it with my kids and my husband or my mom, I did get to spend it with my kids and my mother-in-law, which made it a GREAT day! Now that Erik is home and the kids are in bed, I got some 'think' time. Out of all the things I could be thinking about or worried about, the only thing I can think of is how much I love my family. My children make me smile, they love me, they need me, I love them, and I need them just like they do me. I never thought in a million years that I would EVER love anyone as much as I love those 2 little kids. Sometimes I still look at them and think how crazy it is that they are half of me and half of Erik... and look how beautiful they are. I have never seen anyone or anything more beautiful in my life. I have never been more proud of anything or anyone is my life. I am so proud of everything they are, everything they do... I love how smart they are, how caring they are, and how loving they are. They're my children, my whole heart... they have all of me... they speak, I listen, and melt. There is NOTHING in the this world that would EVER make me NOT love them!

So that brought me to my question I kept asking myself... how much can I love, and what is it worth? I feel like I couldn't love them anymore than I do at this very moment... yet, everyday I love them more and more. Does that make sense? Probably not, but I know what I mean! hahaha But how much is love worth? It's worth everything as some say, but what can you compare it to? There is no comparison to what I feel for my kids and Erik... nothing. I would lay my life on the line to save my children... if it meant me leaving right now to go to my death bed... I'm gone... no questions asked. The only good thing about leaving them forever though is... I leave knowing that they know how much I love them. I don't let a day pass or a moment pass without telling them how much I love them and how complete they have made me! My kids are my life... my every joy... and nothing in this world will ever replace that.

God has blessed my life... and I am sooo thankful!

He sent me the BEST man I have ever met. He's my soulmate... my dream. We have been together 7 1/2 years and it's been amazing. We have had our moments... some really tough and trying times where we split and said hateful things to each other... but I know in my heart I never stopped loving him and I know he never stopped loving me. I remember the phone call I made to him while he was working at staples... he was in another relationship... and I said, I really want to work US out... we have child together and I love you... a few days later she was gone and we worked it out... I knew then, that Erik was mine... and he had my whole heart and I had his. That was such a trying time in our lives, but a time that made us stronger and more dedicated to each other. I hated it in the moment, but I am glad it happened because I know that I could NEVER say good-bye again. I know that Erik and I have a solid relationship...but yet again... how much can I love him??? I love him so much, that the thought of losing him in some form, automatically brings tears to my eyes... Erik has been such a rock for me... my joys, and made my dreams come true. We have given each other the best 2 gifts anyone could ever receive and that's Dylan & Caydence. Erik, you are the best husband and man that I could ever ask for... I am blessed to have you in my life...and I know you are here to stay... I LOVE YOU!!! (and my lord...HE'S GORGEOUS... he's my HOT hubby) :D

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ME!!!! It couldn't be any better than today... I have the man of my dreams and I think he's the best in the whole world... and we have our babies who again ARE THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!! I love you all so much... 'YOU 3 COMPLETE ME!'

The Joys of a '2' Year Old!

Today, Caydence turns 2. What a day... what an age?!?! I love it... I love the things she says, does, and the way she acts! There are days where I wonder why I had 2 and days that I think 'if she would have been my first, she may have been my last.' However, the majority of the time, the good out weighs the bad. I love when I say, "Happy Birthday Caydence!" She replies by saying, "Happy Day Mama!" Seriously, how much cuter could it get? She's amazing! She's so much fun, she's so smart, and she makes me melt, as does Dylan! The fun is just beginning however...

The terrible twos are starting to take effect. The tantrums, the hitting, the bitting, etc... oh wait, yeah, she's been doing all that since she was 18 months old. So hopefully we will be growing out of those stages shortly! I hate when she tells me No, or bosses other kids around, but I have to remind myself, it's all part of the age. :)

I can't believe she's 2, to me she seems older by the way she acts, and younger with how time flew by. It doesn't seem possible that she can already be 2, but the words she uses, the things she knows, etc. it seems like she should be at least 3!

Time flies... I love every minute of being with her... of being her mom... and spending time with her. I am blessed. I have the best husband who works so that I can stay home with my children and attend school. He helps make my dreams come true and makes my life so complete...I hope he realizes how special he is to me and to our kids and that's he's truly the BEST man I could ever imagine! I'm a very lucky person... he loves me and loves our kids and that's the best gift anyone could ask for! I love you Erik!!!! :)

Some Parents Parenting....

Parenting is an issue I take to heart... for many reasons. 1) I want my children to be respectful, well liked, and well behaved children. 2) I want my children to know right from wrong 3) It builds and shapes the futures of our children, and many many more to name. Another issue I take to heart are the parents who DON'T PARENT!!! Dylan plays Northeast Concord baseball and I think he does a good job of it. He tries really hard, but most importantly he has FUN. Isn't that why they have it in the first place for 4, 5, & 6 year olds? They don't make allstars that young so I don't see what the big deal is. Everyone is learning and trying to better their skills. Some kids aren't as good as others... and since when did laughing at another child become an appropiate thing for other children to be doing? That's where that lovely parenting roll comes in. Nothing burns me more than a parent allowing another child to get away with that, especially when the child being laughed at IS MY OWN!!! I have no problem opening my big mouth and telling someone off and I have no problem opening my big mouth and telling another child to shut theirs. If their parent isn't going to take care of the problem, I will do it! Then I'd be first in line to tell that parent where to go too... because at no time is it ever okay for a child to make fun of another because they can't hit a pitch and need the tee. One thing I will always stand my ground and do is take up for my children... no questions asked, I don't care who I am standing up to. I wasn't there last night at baseball practice because Kelly and I were coaching t-ball, so this is all from Erik, but you can bet your tail I will be at the ball game tomorrow at 8am and if he is being laughed at, so help me lord... I will make a scene... I will drag him out and take him home before I allow another child to purposely hurt his feelings. He's my little boy and I love him and I am soooooo very proud of him... he deserves to be out there with the rest of the children and I will make that known if need be!

A First for Caydence!

Caydence got her first haircut on Wednesday 4-22-09. It was a traumatic experience for me... I think it was more in my head than actually for real. I just hated to see those little ringlets cut off, I hate not being able to put her hair up in pigtails anymore. Her hair grows fast so I will be able to do it again in no time. It looks really good though. It's cut in a cute bob... longer on the sides and slightly shorter in the back. She looks grown and BEAUTIFUL! I thought Erik was going to have my head... I didn't tell him before I did it, I told him when he called me on his way home from work. He couldn't believe me, he thought I was joking, but the next morning when he saw her, he said, "Wow, that's really pretty!" So that makes me feel better.

She loved Voula! Voula cuts my hair and both my sisters-in-law's hair. We love her! She's greek so she has a GREAT accent and she is so much fun. She is nothing about materialistic things, she doesn't even have cable tv, but she is so warm and loving. I called to make the appointment and they told me she had nothing available and that she was out of work at 6:45 pm, so I said okay, np, just give me whoever. Well 15 minutes later, the girl called back and said, "Voula says you are her client and she really wants to be apart of Caydence's first haircut." I couldn't believe it! She stayed late to cut my daugter's hair. Caydence saw her and went running with open arms and jumped in Voula's arms. She loved her! She even let Voula put her in a chair and tilt her head back in the sink for a wash. Caydence was GREAT and Voula was GREAT! She did it all with no crying and she did it like a champ!

I'm a proud Mama... and I have a beautiful little girl & a handsome little boy... how much better could it get?

Concord Police... need I say more?

If you are ever in trouble... don't call Concord Police... they are about the most worthless group I have ever seen. Well maybe not all of them, but definately 99.999999%. We have this stop sign at the end of our road and if some of you don't know what that means, typically it means "STOP." Well we have these idiots that live in the apartments right through that stop sign and the majority of them obviously have trouble reading. The stop sign can't get much bigger, and as far as I know... it's been there for at least 7 1/2 years. When my in-laws lived here in this house, that sign was here and yet people still have trouble reading it. Here's a kicker... I just don't get it... they can't read the one in front of our house, but they can read the one at the top of Cherry street. They say the same dang thing. STOP!!! Not usually hard to distinguish between the two... even more so...they're the same color... RED. Dear lord... most can usually match things and if the one at the top of the road is red and says stop means stop, then surely the one in front of our house that's red and says stop... means STOP! I need to get myself out there and direct traffic. Do I really think that would help??? NOPE... b/c Concord PD has been called and they sit on Marion street hiding behind our fence and those cops must be blind b/c people still run that stop sign and that poor blind cop is working his heart out on those stupid computers they have in their cars and 30 minutes later they drive away without seeing even 1 of the 15 cars that went through that sign. Crazy!!! This world would be a better place if I trained drivers...they would drive my way and then we wouldn't have any problems! They wouldn't race me to the exit, cut me off, just to get off the same one I am, they wouldn't drive 5 under the speed limit... 35 mph really means 40... c'mon now... and they would STOP when the sign says STOP! My goodness... since I am getting my master's in education, I am going to open my own school... EMILY'S WAY OR NO WAY ON THE HIGHWAY! I wish I could write tickets... b/c every old person and every wild driver, every no stoping fool running stop signs, and every racer to the exits, would be ticketed... done and over with it!

JUST REMEMBER YOU NO STOPPING FOOLS... my kids play out there and the day one of you even come close... I will teach my kids to stand out there and throw rocks... JERKS!

T-Ball Update...

Last night was Kelly and I's first t-ball coaching session and I must say... WE ROCKED IT! We had those kids running, catching, throwing well, and definately hitting well. We're going to have the most awesome team with the most awesome coaches! :) The funniest thing... Kelly had them run to each postion on the field to make sure that they learn the bases so when we tell them where to play, they know where to go and they came running into home huffin and puffin... I was dying laughing! I think it's going to be awesome and I had a great time... I even enjoyed rolling down the hill with my nephew... he didn't think I could do it...but I did! :) I'm actually excited for next week and practicing with Kelly again! I think this is right up my alley! I love it!

Crazy Sleepers!

Funny funny... look at these crazy sleepers! These kids are out of this world! They make me laugh though! I guess they are most definately my kids... b/c I can fall asleep anywhere and obviously they can too! I was watching the biggest loser to catch up and I looked over and he's out! The joys of being a kid!!! Goes right along with my post about being a kid!

My Biggest Fear...

Oh my word... for those of you who have not heard... I must say that I got chills from this and it made my heart begin to race! 4 pythons escape on a passenger flight... What, what did you just say? 4 snakes were on a passenger flight... Dear Lord, just save my soul now, because if that was me, it would have been the end of me. I might have jumped off that plane. If any of you know me, you will know that snakes, spiders, and other bugs are among my greatest fears... just ask Erik's parents about last summer!!! I have seen the movie snakes on a plane once, and it was my last. I cannot even begin to comprehend what would happen to me or anyone near me if they ever told me snakes were on the lose on my plane. Someone would absolutely have to shoot me dead. I would lose my mind. Last summer I saw 2 at my in-laws... Dylan stepped on one of them and it was squirming at my feet and the other I walked up on it while it was crossing their driveway and I have never come so close to peeing myself... EVER! I couldn't breathe, I was having chest pains, and not to mention I made myself look like an idiot while every laughed at me hoping down the road screaming! I don't think I could assist saving someone from a snake on a plane... sorry... better that guy than me! I can't even imagine... I was reading the story on it and I just couldn't clear my head... I could have a panic attack just reading that junk. Not to mention they didn't even find the snake on the plane after landing... 4 of them... 4 of them... pythons... and you couldn't find them???? Idiots... I wouldn't have even been looking... so who's the idiot right? Never fly to Australia... NEVER... it's on one of those planes... oh dear lord... I have flown several times since seeing snakes on a plane and believe me, I have checked those planes out before and I will NOT sit in the last seat or the first.... I want someone else to see them first and scream... that way it won't get me! My biggest fears have been confirmed... SNAKES ARE ON A PLANE! God, just save my soul now, because if I ever see one near me, I will most surely be on my way to you!

To be a kid again...

On Monday my mom had surgery so Erik was here all alone with the kids... sounds like he had it pretty easy! She just got tired and fell asleep standing up... who does that? What would you give to be a kid again at times? Those times when you can drop down and sleep anywhere you want and someone will carry you to your bed... when all you have to do is say "food" and someone is opening the package for you to pig out... you could throw your food on the floor and step on it like Caydence does... or cry when you don't get your way and all of a sudden, "sure, go right ahead" and most importantly... when you want something so bad at the store and someone buys it for you! Oh my word... sometimes, I wish I was still in those days. Even just to be a kid where all I have to do is play, eat, and sleep. No work involved! Ahhh... someone could even brush my teeth for me and wipe my mouth and brush my hair... man I miss those days, actually I can't even remember them, but I do miss them! I wouldn't even have to go poop or pee on the potty... I could just crap myself and someone would wipe my butt!! :) Ewww... gross I know, but the very thought... I would at least be getting pampered, right? We were playing outside today and I was watching Dylan & Caydence swing... they didn't have a care in the world... they were laid back, enjoying the breeze and both screaming, "WEEEEEEE." (don't get me wrong, I loved seeing them happy) Of course we walk down the road and that's our thinking time, or if you are a male... you take a poop for 5 minutes and sit and think for another 35 minutes... but we can't walk down the road and not have a care in the world... it's what bills are due this week or how am I going to get groceries on the table, or what's for dinner, or I wish my husband would not have gone to work mad at me, etc.... it just stinks being an adult sometimes... I hate financial responsibility! When it comes to pets... love them, but if I was a kid, I wouldn't have to walk around outside scooping up poop until I am gagging so hard that my lunch is right at my tonsils or scoop cat liter (which I don't do)... if I was a kid, I could just rub on them and love them and do all the fun things... no poop duty involved!!! When my kids get older...that's the first chore I am passing off... he's the scooper...ENJOY! Just kidding.. well kind of! :)

Yet all those hardships... and I am so glad to be an adult and even more importantly a MOMMY!!! Because if I were a kid... there wouldn't be a Dylan or Caydence and my life just would not be the same without them!

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE! I hope you all have a very fun, safe holiday!

Well after last night... it's official... Kelly and I are t-ball coaches... lord help us! Kelly is the coach and I am the assistant!! :) Anybody want a good laugh? Just show up to the first practice thursday night from 6-7pm and enjoy the show!!! I don't know what the heck we are going to do... she told me last night that she can't barely catch a ball and I don't have a ton of patience... hahaha... this should be good. At least she carries the patience part and I can catch a ball. We were laughing in the car on the way back to Grammy's to get my car and her kids and she was saying how the parents are going to be like "omg... what the heck are they doing?" hahaha... we were picking teams and we had to split the girls up evenly so every team got 3 girls and the rest boys and we picked a girl and her dad happened to be standing behind us and when he saw we had her, he just kind of stared... what a riot! We're going to be slave drivers I bet... Kelly was like I will have them warm up, running the bases, and moving it... for goodness sakes their only 5 and 6 but hey, that's all we know to do so we'll do it. Maybe since we can't play or coach their parents will at least be pleased that we wear them out enough to sleep. Laugh it up... I know what you must be thinking inside, but b/c of us one day these kids could play on the allstars teams! hahaha...that even makes me laugh! Awww the joys! Oh, and want an even better laugh... come to the game May 16th... Kelly won't even be there... so I will be there with Vicky's boyfriend, Chris... should be a good time! LOL

Oh well... at least we had the guts to do it... now if we can just learn the game... aren't you glad your kid isn't on our team... psssshhhhh... WE'RE FLIPPING AWESOME!

Safety First!!!

Dylan is addicted to these little guys called "U.B. Funkies" and they are used to play on the computer. I am amazed at how well he knows how to handle them since they are for ages 8 and up. So anyways, I picked Dylan up from school and he had some birthday money that he wanted to spend along with some gift cards to target (he got $410.00 for his birthday, but I only let him spend $10.00, am I mean or what?). So we went to target and we went inside, he picked out what he wanted and I bought some gifts for my nephew who is turning 8 on saturday. We went and paid and out the door we went. Caydence was riding in the carriage and Dylan was nicely walking through the parking lot holding onto the carriage right up until we got to the car. There was a nice looking elderly couple who seemed to be going the same places we were. They followed behind us to the car and I told Dylan, go around and get in on your side while I put Caydence in. While I am getting her out of the carriage, the old man said, "I heard all that racket your little girl was making in there, and you still bought toys?" What racket was she making??? I am not sure, b/c they were well behaved. So I told him... "wasn't my kids." They were great... well his nice little wife still standing there like I'm their business, says, "you know you shouldn't let him get in the car on his own...that's not safe, safety should always be number one." Well you shouldn't be sticking your nose where it doesn't belong... take your cane and keep it moving. For those of you who don't know me, when you start coaching my parenting, you are just adding fuel to my fire... WATCH OUT! So I said, "lady he is 6 years old... he is perfectly capable of doing it SAFELY. Here's the sticker... Caydence wearing a pair of blue jeans, a 3/4" length sleeved shirt with a glittery bow on it and cute little pigtails she is 100% girl. Well the old lady just stands there then she looks at me, then at Caydence, then at me... and I finally said, "Problem with how I am putting her in, am I putting SAFETY FIRST?" She goes, "oh you're doing a great job mom, I just love how beautiful your little boy is... isn't that a cute little boy honey?" WHAT? Did you say boy? Did you just say that my daughter with pigtails is a boy? Okay, you little old hobbit... I don't know which one of ya is driving...but someone needs their eyes checked... I am thinking maybe a cab too? So they told me to have a nice day... and I reminded the little old blind couple who can't tell a boy from a girl, to drive with SAFETY FIRST... SO CALL A CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't ya just want to knock people out who stick their little noses where they don't belong...they couldn't tell a boy from a girl, much less a road sign from a tree and they are telling me about safety first... ahhh...the joys of nosey people!!!! I hate when someone acts like their your best friend talking to ya like they know ya and then correct everything ya do... if I wanted your opinion on parenting I would have asked, if I wanted to know about safety I definately would have asked an 80 year old couple who has had plenty of experience practicing it, and if I cared how cute you thought my LITTLE GIRL was, I would have asked, until then keep moving!!! ABSOLUTELY IRRITATING!

Is motherhood supposed to be this hard?

Oh my word... what a day I have had. I have had this blog page a while and yet to blog on it...so today, I think it's time. I love being a mom, it's the most rewarding thing I have ever done, but I have just about had it with POOP!!! Not that anyone ever wants to know about poop, but my kids always feel the need to share it with me, so I am sharing with you. So where do I start??? Let's start with Dylan because he is the easiest...

-This kid is obsessed with "poop." Everything he talks about is poop, which I have heard is normal and that lots of kids go through the poop talk. When he calls his sister names, somewhere it includes poop... when he is mad and yells out, somewhere it includes poop... when he wipes his bum like tonight, he's singing about poop! Poop this and poop that... I am so sick of hearing about it. The part that is the kicker, and I can't stand it... is tonight when he took his shower, I soaped up the washcloth and handed it to him and we always remind him, "do your armpits, your twig and berries, and make sure you get your bum, b/c those are most important." Well for some reason he cleans and feels the need to give me a high five, so I am ask him why the high five, and of course it includes poop... "mama, I have no stains on my bum." Great Dylan, but please, I don't want to know... just wait all you moms with younger kids, wondering why I am blogging about this...oh you just wait until preschool and kindergarten start. I can't wait until this stage is outgrown!

-Caydence... my sweetheart! She is obsessed with her poop too. If she for any reason wants her diaper changed, maybe it's a little too wet for her liking... "mama... pooooop!" So we put her on the potty and nothing happens, just wanted to practice wiping with the toilet paper! This girl is unbelievable! I think she must be learning something from her brother! "Excuse me Mama." What happened Caydence? "I fart." I am telling you, as cute as she is, why the poop talk, can't we please talk about something else?

Oh the joys of motherhood!! Love my kids to pieces, but I don't love their poop. When they finally get potty trained, you still hear about it... it's neverending! :) But...... YOU GOTTA LOVE EM!
